Mixed bag weekend for Knights of Columbus Flyers

The KOC Flyers got off to a hot start as the team opened the scoring just 50 seconds into the first period. They would score early once again as they got their second goal of the game just 36 seconds into the second period. Sturgeon would get to within one before the second period reached its conclusion but that is as close as they would get.

The Flyers added two more goals in the third period to close out the scoring and take the 4-1 win.

Goals for the team were scored by Kolton Leslie, Jacob Lang, Adam Bowie, and Jacob Lang. Assists went to Adam Bowie and Jacob Lang.

Brandon Clark had a steady game in goal for the Flyers. He wasn’t overly busy as Sturgeon fired only 15 shots on net, but Clark stopped 14 of them.

Two games at home are up next for Fort St. John. They battle Dawson Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. That’s followed by a Saturday afternoon tilt against Slave Lake at 1:45.
