Encana Events Centre takes second place in trade magazine Canadian rankings

The Encana Events Centre is listed as having a capacity of 3,000, and pulled in $3,304,172 between June 1, 2012 to May 31, 2013.

General Manager Ryan MacIvor is celebrating the recognition, which follows being named the fourth top stop in the Pacific Northwest earlier this year.

“Being named the second top stop in Canada is great news to hear coming off a week that included a historic two night stop of Jason Aldean’s Night Train Tour here in Dawson Creek,” he says. “With 2013 being the fifth anniversary of the Encana Events Centre, this honour is a true statement on the work that the staff have worked on over those last five years to make the Centre a tour stop for many artists such as Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, Chicago, the Dixie Chicks and Loretta Lynn.”

The Encana Events Centre opened in 2008, and is owned by the City of Dawson Creek and run by Global Spectrum.
