$12 million Walmart expansion drives September Fort St. John building numbers

35 permits were issued in September worth $21.555 million, more than 10 times more than $2.02 million from 25 last year. More than half of that was from the Walmart expansion, which will add approximately 30,000 square feet to the store once the renovations are done around mid-2014.

The City’s revenue numbers are also nearly $400,000 ahead of last year at this time. The nine month 2013 total is $958,600, compared to $588,850 in 2012.
