VP of Operations David Pryce says the “Find A Balance Community Café” helping answer questions the community may have about the industry over a cup of coffee.

“What do people have an interest in, and how can we help inform that dialogue and keep it going,” he says. “I think our worst enemy is thoughts that don’t have information, so if people have questions, then we should be responding to that.”

Acknowledging that CAPP is the voice of only one side of the equation, he suggests answers to those questions should be directed to third-party answers, to ensure credibility for the public. Pryce also adds that the conversations aren’t meant to be about a specific company’s project, but more about regional or even international issues.

“We have a depth of knowledge around that, that we want to bring to bear,” he maintains. “We know the controversy around oil and oil pipelines and marine tanker traffic. We think it’s important to have the dialogue.”

The dialogue will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursday, October 3.
