A Fort St. John meeting is scheduled for 2 p.m. this afternoon at the Lutheran Senior Apartment Buildings, and there will be another one at the same time tomorrow in Dawson Creek, at the Walter Wright Pioneer Village’s Sudeten Hall.
In the meantime, Northern Health has ended the 2012-13 fiscal year with a surplus of nearly $9 million. The authority’s annual report confirms it’s a repeat performance, as last year it recorded a 10.6 million surplus.
This year, it credits additional government funding, as well as revenue from patients, clients, and residents for bringing in about $10 million more than anticipated. However, it also confirms it spent more than $1 million over its original budget.
