The Terry Fox Run is held in honour of Terry Fox who ran just under 5,400 kilometres in 1980 in support of cancer research.

Those lacing up the running shoes can either walk or run the 3.5 kilometre distance at Participation Trail. Along the course is a ravine for runners to enjoy as they make their way throughout.

Pledge sheets can be picked up from the Taylor Visitor Centre, which is open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

All proceeds raised will be allocated to the Terry Fox Foundation, which helps raise close to $20 million annually for cancer based research.
