While the evening is always a fun get together, it’s also an important fundraiser for NEAT.
“Wine & Trees allows NEAT the freedom to branch out and invest in programming that we believe would benefit our communities whether we have specific funding commitments for it or not, says Karen Mason-Bennett, Program Coordinator. “It’s also a great night to visit with everyone that is actively involved in building sustainable communities.”
NEAT is focused on promoting environmentally friendly choices in the community, and is interested in projects involving water and energy conservation, food security, climate change, and reducing the amount of time cars idle. Not all of those programs are funded by the non-profit’s current contracts, and money raised at Wine & Trees helps with their advancement.
Tickets for the event are available at the North Peace Cultural Centre box office, or online at www.npcc.bc.ca.
