“The establishment of this committee ensures that tourism stakeholders from across the province have an active role in strengthening and aligning our marketing efforts,” says Board Chair Andrea Shaw.
Ryan MacIvor has experience working with the Alaska Highway Tourism Association, Tourism Dawson Creek and the Northern B.C. Tourism Association, and says he’s looking forward to the new position.
“I am excited to be part of Destination British Columbia’s Tourism Marketing Committee and look forward to working with my other counterparts throughout the province,” he says. “I am pleased to provide my experience and knowledge in creating recommendations for Destination British Columbia.”
The province has a goal of growing tourism revenues to $18 billion by 2016.
