Motorcyclist dies following Sunday crash near Fort St. John

The male was rushed to the Fort St. John Hospital shortly after the collision Sunday afternoon at 1:30. The collision occurred on the Alaska Highway at the intersection with the East Bypass Road.

The driver’s name is not being released by police. Family members have been notified.

The RCMP along with the B.C. Coroner’s Service, Worksafe B.C. and Commercial Vehicle Safety Enforcement are still investigating the cause of the collision. Speed of the motorcycle has not been ruled out as a contributing factor in the collision.
