Female airlifted to Grande Prairie hospital after Saturday morning crash

The 29 year old male driver of the pickup  allegedly failed to signal before turning left, and the semi, driven by a 35 year old male, hit the pickup on the passenger side. The pickup driver sustained minor injuries, but the 23 year old female passenger sustained serious injuries and was airlifted by STARS Air Ambulance to hospital in Grande Prairie. An update on the condition of the Alberta residents is not available. 

The driver of the pickup was issued a ticket for failing to signal a left turn under the Motor Vehicle Act. Speed and alcohol are not considered factors in the crash.
