Chetwynd man charged in attempted murder with hammer

RCMP says they responded to a call at about 8:40 a.m. to assist provincial ambulance personnel with a man who had been struck with a hammer. The subsequent investigation found he had been struck several times and stitches were required to close his head wounds.

He has since been released from hospital and is reportedly in good condition. Police believe this was an isolated incident.

Oulette will next appear in Dawson Creek Provicial Court on August 22, 2013.
