“The public can come out and meet the drivers and their crews, and check out their boats and their engines and stuff like that so they can see what the boys are running for horsepower,” she explains.
She adds that racing will get underway in the afternoon both days, and there will also be a beer gardens on hand at the event as well.
“In the afternoon at 2:00, the circuit races will start for the public to come and watch down at Peace Island Park,” Humphrey says. “We’ll have beer gardens and stuff on Saturday, Sunday, and Friday night.”
Of note, the boat launch will be closed from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday to accommodate the racing. People wanting to watch on the water must be launched by then as it will be a closed course with boat speeds exceeding 140 miles per hour.
