Fort Nelson Fire Hall flag at half-mast to honour fallen comrade

Firefighter Tim Leguerrier says the flag is lowered every year since. 

“Every year we lower the flag at half-mast in Paul’s memory,”he explains. “He was a really good paid on-call firefighter. We do it for all fallen firefighters that have a line of duty death.” 

A picnic table bearing his name is also located at the Gary Giffin Memorial Park in Fort Nelson. 

The flag will stay at half mast until sunset Wednesday, August 7.
