Currently licenses and LEH applications are only available at Service B.C. offices or licensed vendors, and are not able to be obtained over the weekend or outside of regular business hours.
In a release, Minister of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations says, “The new electronic licensing program will make it easier than ever for British Columbians to go hunting and will ensure sound wildlife management decisions support the ministry’s conservation goals.”
One of the benefits of switching formats will be the creation of a single point of reference for data collection such as compulsory inspection information, and resident harvest information.
The ministry is targeting the 2015-2016 hunting season to have the new format in place.
