Unemployment rate drops in Northeast B.C.

This June 37,100 people are working in the region.

The region in B.C. with the lowest unemployment is Prince George with a rate of 3.8 per cent, a drop from last month.  Vernon continues to have the highest unemployment in the Province at 9.6.

Across the province, the unemployment rate dropped to 6.4 per cent from 6.8 in May, while the national rate remained steady at 7.1 per cent.
