Hallways wins spirit award at Theatre B.C. festival

The original play, directed by Mason Temple, aims to reveal what really happens in the hallways of a high school when no one is looking.

It was performed on Friday, July 12, and the next day the troupe found out it had been awarded the Adjudicators Merit Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Spirit of Mainstage at the Final Night Awards Ceremony.

Several members also received Mainstage Student Scholarships, including Kaleb Wetzel, Morgan Temple, Samantha Dunne, Terrence Zhou, Adam Craig, and Kennedy Vandergaag, which included an all access pass to the nine-day festival, a tour of the theatre, professional instruction and a one-on-one meeting with the festival adjudicator.

Spectacular Chair Factory was also reportedly given honourable mentions for Best Director, Best Set by Zhou, Best Ensemble, and was runner up for Best Production.
