Once “incarcerated”, the prisoners must raise enough money to “make bail”, with all proceeds going towards pediatric cancer research and Camp Goodtimes, a summer recreation program that provides a unique summer experience for children and teens with cancer and their families.
The perps are being held at the Lake View Credit Union parking lot, but you can hardly call it “hard time”. While locked up they’re being served pizza courtesy of Boston Pizza, and hot dogs and hamburgers thanks to Rock Water Energy Solutions. They will also receive gift cards to Mr. Mike’s and Browns Social House, and will be entered to win tickets to a regimental dinner on September 12.
The Jail and Bail was first held in Dawson Creek in 2011, and last year’s event was considered another success.
