$20,000 to improve business façades in Fort St. John

Local businesses will now be able to partner with the City to make their own improvements.

‘The City of Fort St. John is proud to partner with Northern Development Initiative Trust on bringing more dollars into our community to support local business and ensure that, as the city grows, it remains an attractive destination for residents, visitors and entrepreneurs,” says Mayor Lori Ackerman.

The grants were also distributed to 11 other communities in B.C.’s northeast region, Prince George region, Cariboo-Chilcotin/Lilooet region and northwest region.

In addition to looking better, it’s expected the funding will support private sector investment in local businesses improvement, resulting in increased assessed values and tax bases.
