Tomslake Volunteer Fire Department takes 2013 Hoselay Tournament

The firefighters competed in various challenges, testing their speed and skills, while working together. Taylor Fire Chief Alan Stebbing says the annual event is not only good for practice, but is also a chance for the fire departments to get together when it’s not just for mutual aid.

The highlight of the day was the hose hockey challenge, which even the spouses got involved in. Later that evening, prizes were handed out for each event, and in the end Tomslake was named the top department for the year, while Taylor earned accolades for their team spirit.

Pouce Coupe has volunteered to hold the 2014 Hoselay Tournament.
