The local undercover operation was named Project EPARLOUS, and was aimed at street level cocaine traffickers, based on consultation with the community. The focus was on the bar scene in Dawson Creek, as well as “dial-a-dope” dealers who take orders by phone and meet customers in locations around the city.
Three of the seven individuals arrested those two weekends remain in police custody awaiting trial. They each face two counts of trafficking cocaine, while Damian Rice has also been charged one count of robbery, Robert Burr an additional two counts of failing to comply with bail conditions, and Charles Calahasen also faces two counts of failing to comply with probation.
The others have been released with strict bail conditions.
