Run for Recovery leaves Dawson Creek for Fort St. John

Brown was greeted by Acting Dawson Creek Mayor Charlie Parsons and city councillors, and was entertained by a group of local Aboriginal dancers.

She left the Mile 0 City this morning in the rain, and it’s expected she’ll be welcomed home Thursday evening. A celebration event will be held upon her return, with more details to come.

Brown first left Fort St. John on June 15, making her way through Hudson’s Hope and Chetwynd before reaching Dawson Creek. All funds raised through the Run for Recovery will benefit the Northern Lights Recovery Centre being built in the Fort St. John region.
