Registration extended for Arnie Isberg Memorial Softball Tournament

Arnie Isberg was a long time resident of Fort St. John, who, throughout his life, was dedicated to various athletic programs in the region. He was an avid baseball player in his earlier days, a basketball referee, also volunteered his time for the city’s high school basketball program.

Unfortunately, Isberg fell victim to Pleomorphic Sarcoma, a rare form of cancer that only affects approximately 350 patients in North America, and is an extremely challenging health issue to treat.

Teams that register are guaranteed five games, and there will be full concessions and beer gardens on hand as well.

Also part of the event is a home run derby and a fastest team relay, along with prizes for the most creatively dressed team, as well as a silent auction and raffles.

To register for the tournament you can call Vern at 780-402-0988, or you can send him an email at visberg@tervita.com

The cost for registration is $350 per team, with all of the proceeds going towards the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation Cancer Diagnostic and Treatment Fund.
