RCMP search for missing woman after being washed into Smoky River

 At the Smoky River near the Canfor Road at approximately 8:45 p.m. last night the female along with a male companion were attempting to wash a quad when it was pulled into the river along with both the driver and passenger.  The quad and couple were swept into the river by the strong current. The male was able to get to shore and the female was last seen being carried by the current down river.
 
The 32 year old female, Sarah Lamoureux was last seen wearing a yellow rain coat, yellow pants with a blue hoodie underneath, a purple and white helmet with black rubber boots that had flowers on them. She is described as being  5″3″ tall brown hair and brown eyes.
 
The initial search involved the Grovedale Fire Department along with the assistance of STARS. The Grovedale Fire Department had a boat on the river searching, however efforts were suspended due to darkness. The search resumed this morning with the RCMP, Grande Prairie Technical Search and Rescue and the RCMP Air Services Helicopter.
 
The 26 year old Grande Prairie man was transported by ambulance to the QE 11 where he is being treated for hypothermia.
