Fort Nelson issued

Rainfall amounts up to 70 mm forecast along the eastern slopes of the Rockies.

This is a warning that significant rainfall is expected or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..listen for updated statements.

A broad upper trough will direct a moist easterly flow of air onto the eastern slopes of the Rockies over the next few days. Thunderstorms embedded in the flow will contribute to localized heavy rainfall. The rain will begin this afternoon and continue until Thursday evening. Total rainfall amounts of 50 to 70 mm are possible.
