Power out in Prespatou after truck knocks down powerline

The RCMP believe a dump truck traveling on the road may have clipped the power line while unloading gravel.

An oncoming vehicle was able to stop before reaching the downed power line. No one was injured and both vehicles are driveable.

Approximately 140 customers in the Prespatou area are now without power. At this point, B.C. Hydro doesn’t know when power will be restored. For more updates on the power outage, visit www.bchydro.com/outages
