Possible gunshots heard in Anneofield Saturday likely fireworks

Although in the end, it was determined no shots were fired, Corporal Jodi Shelkie explains the possibility means immediate response by RCMP.

“In situations like this, the police must assume the worse case scenario and respond appropriately,” she says.  “As it turned out, there was no evidence of a firearm being discharged and other witnesses said they heard fireworks.”

No further information on the two incidences of shots being fired in the area has been released by police. On Monday, June 3, a 20 year old male was found dead near Charlie Lake after reports of shots being fired, and shots were also fired during a home invasion Friday morning.
