Police investigating Dawson Creek “deer burning” video

Laughing, he adds, “Don’t f*** with me. That deer is burning good.”

A burning object is seen chained up to a red truck on a video taken by a cell phone.

The post on a Dawson Creek Facebook page has garnered over 400 comments, with many calling for police to make an arrest. Several commenters said they had registered complaints with the local RCMP and SPCA, and according to CBC News, police are now investigating with conservation officers and the animal welfare organization.

The case is reminiscent of other possible animal cruelty cases in the Peace Region over the past few years, including a dog found seemingly dragged to death, a horse reportedly shot, and a cat and dog separately found in blocks of ice.
