Holden switches to guilty plea in campfire animal endangerment case

She was arrested on July 7, 2012, after the burnt remains of a kennel and a small dog were found in a fire pit near a trailer she was occupying.

Initial police reports suggested the woman was likely intoxicated and angry following an argument with a partner, who had left the site before investigating officers arrived.

RCMP also concluded from witness accounts that a second dog suffered serious enough injuries that it too did not likely survive.

A date for her sentencing will be set Monday.
