Fire Chief Fred Burrows thanked for decade of service to City

Burrows moved to Fort St. John from Terrace in 2003 to serve as Deputy Fire Chief, and was promoted to Fire Chief in 2005.

“Fred works hard for the City and for his staff within the Fire Department,” read Mayor Lori Ackerman. “He spearheaded the implementation of the Fire Department’s computer aided dispatch and records management programs, both of which have greatly improved the communications during responses and created efficiencies within the Department.”

He also works hard to make sure the department gets new equipment as needed.
