Dunk a cop this Canada Day (for a good cause)

From noon to 5 p.m., uniformed officers will be taking turns, and all proceeds will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society for pediatric research and Camp Goodtimes, a summer recreation program that provides a unique summer experience for children and teens with cancer and their families.

“Your contribution will help support the local Cops For Cancer events meet or surpass its fundraising goal and build excitement throughout the Peace Region,” says Constable Greg Hall of the Dawson Creek RCMP detachment. “Come out, dunk a cop and help an amazing cause!”

This year Constable Greg Lake, Constable Leo Corcoran, and Corporal James Rutledge of the Dawson Creek RCMP will be taking part in the Tour. This year’s Tour de North will run from September 13 to 19, between Dawson Creek and Williams Lake.
