Donated plane transported through streets of Dawson Creek

The Jetstream 31 was taken from the end of the runway to 1st Street, then transported along  , through the intersection with 8th Street to the college and into the hangar compound.

The plane was donated by Swanberg Air to NLC’s Aircraft Maintenance Engineering program in memory of Sylvan Swanberg, who died in 2011. Swanberg was a former resident of Dawson Creek who founded Swanberg Air in 2000, and the aircraft is the first he ever owned.

A ceremony to recognize the donation will be held at NLC’s Aerospace Hangar on Friday, with Sylvan’s son, Loran, present.
