B.C. Summer Reading Club hoping to recruit young readers

Children who sign up will receive a kit for keeping track of their reading, and if they are among the city’s top reader’s, they will receive a collectable medal.

The Summer Reading Club helps motivate kids to read, and in turn helps to maintain or improve reading skills when school is not in session.

The program is sponsored by the British Columbia Library Association, with assistance from Libraries and Literacy, and the Ministry of Education.

For more information, anyone interested is encouraged to call the Fort St. John Public Library at 250-785-3731, or visit its website at fortstjohn.bclibrary.ca.
