Although in the end, it was determined no shots were fired, Corporal Jodi Shelkie explains the possibility means immediate response by RCMP.

“In situations like this, the police must assume the worse case scenario and respond appropriately,” she says.  “As it turned out, there was no evidence of a firearm being discharged and other witnesses said they heard fireworks.”
