Wildfire along highway near Chetwynd Saturday

At last word, the cause of the blaze, which broke out around 2 p.m. Saturday, is still under investigation. Northern Fire Attack Crew supervisor Darren Van Horn says there was no risk to any structures in the area.

TRN advises that residents will likely see smoke from the brush smoldering over the next couple days.
