Suspected arsonist setting brush fires in Chetwynd

Chetwynd Fire Chief Leo Sabulsky believes these may be the work of an arsonist and is asking the community to be on the lookout. Another early morning fire was lit by an apartment building near the Braemar Arms soon after, but at this point it does not match the pattern of the other fires.

Residents are advised to call 911 if they see any suspicious activity, and to try and take down and licence plate numbers of vehicles, or the make and model of any quads, along with a description of the driver. Vigilance is urged due to the dry conditions.
