Multiple fires along CN Rail tracks in Taylor

Chief Alan Stebbing says they were soon joined in their attack by Ministry crews, working until around 11 p.m.

“We got everything kind of contained last night, and the Ministry of Forests will be back to deal with the largest portion of the fire just west of Taylor this morning.”

The biggest portion of the fire was in the valley area west of Taylor, which Stebbing estimates was 53 hectares large at its peak along a five mile stretch. He adds there was no damage to property and the fire was mostly contained to field and brush area.
