Close games in week four of spring basketball

There were three games in the Junior Division last night. Team Teal defeated Team Yellow 31-25. Players of the game for the contest were Grace Giesbrecht for the teal squad, and Tyler Sutherland for the yellows.

Team Purple defeated Team Black in the second game for the Juniors. The top player for Team Purple was Marek Andres, while the player of the game for Team Black was Mark Sutherland.

Team Red was the winner over Team White. Curtis Hammond was recognized for his efforts in the game for the reds, and Isaac Peterson was recognized for his for Team White.

There are two games to report on from the Senior Girls Division. Focus and Northern Value battled down to the wire but it was Focus who came out on top by a score of 39-36. Kirsten Beech was great in her shooting and on the boards and was the player of the game for Focus, while Shanda Hagglund was solid for Northern Value in her shooting display.

D. Bauer and Lube X played in a tight game as well last night. D. Bauer came out on top in the end by a score of 53-47. Rebecca Lessard was the top player for D. Bauer as she contributed 18 points, and Allyson Knight took the top nod for her team as she did a great job of distributing the ball to her team.

Over in the Senior Boys Division, Lube X defeated D. Bauer 61-57. Mason Loades was the top player for Lube X with his hard work on the court, and Ethan Consepsion was great defensively for D. Bauer.

Northern Value and Sunlife completed the action from yesterday and it was Northern Value who came out on top. Taking the top nod for Northern Value was Tyren Arzaga, who was the top defender for the team while battling through injury, and the top player for Sunlife was Kessler Hagglund who showed great discipline.
