Carrie Underwood Blows Away Dawson Creek

Kicking things off with Good Girl, the lead single from her newest album, Underwood emerged from a door in the stage in a flowy purple dress, setting the tone for the rest of the energetic concert. The American Idol season four winner made a number of costume changes in time with her constantly moving set that even broke off and flew above the crowd for four songs. Seemingly lifted by Chinese lanterns, Underwood soared above the crowd, even tossing out leis and giant beach balls for a “vacation” during One Way Ticket.

The Grand Ole Opry member was even joined, via video, by Brad Paisley for their duet Remind Me, and had the whole crowd singing along to her hit single Before He Cheats. The over 90 minute set was capped off with a powerful performance of Blown Away, the song that just earned the singer two Grammys. The song and accompanying video seemed even more poignant following the deadly tornado in Oklahoma yesterday, and it’s only fitting that $1 from every ticket last night is donated to the Canadian Red Cross.
