Bluey Day raises over $96,000 for Hospital Foundation

Men, women and children of all ages personally raised money towards the cause, and got their heads shaved in support of local cancer patients and survivors. Each one had their own personal reason for taking part, from having lost a loved one to the disease or having survived themselves.

All the money raised this year will go towards the Cancer Diagnostic and Treatment Fund, which purchases equipment to help in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients at the hospital.

As of the last head shave, $96,837.87 had been raised. Last year over $125,000 was raised for a new digital mammography machine.
