Suncor sells most natural gas assets, keeps Montney properties

Suncor’s unconventional natural gas properties in the Montney region are not included, along with its Wilson Creek, Alberta unconventional oil assets. Centrica will hold a 60 per cent share, and will operate the business.

Suncor estimates the reserves at 978 billion cubic feet equivalent of gas and to produce about 250 million cubic feet per day this year. The sale is subject to regulatory approval.
