Stray bullet found lodged in bedroom window frame

This incident has led police to issue a reminder to the public to be aware of their surroundings when using firearms.

“Please ensure that target practice is conducted in a safe and lawful manner,” says Sergeant Scott West, who adds that failure to do so may be in contravention of the British Columbia Trespass Act or be a firearm related offence described within the Criminal Code of Canada.

Firearms incidents and suspicious activity can be reported to the RCMP at 250-784-3700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
