PRRD looking for input on Agricultural Plan

“The Regional Agricultural Plan is being undertaken to develop a strategy,” she says. “It is also going to assist and encourage agriculture as a thriving and prosperous sector in the Peace Region.”

This is the first time a document like this has been prepared for this part of the province.

Public consultation meetings are being held throughout the Peace Region for residents to suggest items to be included in the plan. A discussion paper with some ideas has already been prepared by consultants, which will be available at the meetings or in advance at the PRRD offices in Dawson Creek and Fort St John, and online at http://prrd.bc.ca/projects.php.

The schedule of meetings is below. If you cannot attend a meeting, you can still provide feedback by phone to 1-800-670-7773, by fax to 1-250-784-3204, or by e-mail to prrd.bc@prrd.bc.ca. You can also contact Bruce Simard, General Manager of Development Services at 1-250-670-7773 or email Bruce.Simard@prrd.bc.ca.
