Premier visiting Dawson Creek and Fort St. John today

In the past, the Premier has estimated exports of liquefied natural gas could be worth up to $30 trillion in economic growth over 30 years, and will fetch five times more overseas than they will in North America. She told workers at Langley Concrete in Chilliwack yesterday there’s already been $7 billion dollars in LNG investment in B.C., and Japan has now guaranteed another $10 billion.

In sharp contrast to the Liberals campaign is the NDP platform, released last week, with a promise that a New Democrat government will expand the province’s carbon tax to include vented emissions from oil and gas operations.

The Premier is scheduled to be in Dawson Creek this morning, and then at 12:15 this afternoon in Fort St. John at the campaign office of Peace River North MLA Pat Pimm, which is located at 9912 100th Avenue.
