The organizing committee has decided to create 100 extra spots because the race filled up so early and there will be a large number of people who register but won’t be able to make it to the race this August.
In order to fill the extra 100 spots, organizers will hold a lottery which will open May 1 at 9am. The entrance fee for the lottery will be $10 and is non-refundable. The lottery will close on May 15 at 10pm. A random draw will then be completed on May 16 at 10am, with successful runners being notified by email.
All the proceeds from the lottery will go towards WNMS trail improvements in the Tumbler Ridge area including bridge replacements and trail signage.
To sign up for the lottery starting May 1, visit www.strideandglide.ca. The Emperor’s Challenge will happen August 10, 2013.
