Snowfall warning continues for B.C. South Peace

Snowfall warning for B.C. South Peace River continued



Additional 10 to 20 centimetres of snow by Friday morning.



This is a warning that significant snowfall is expected in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..listen for updated statements.



A moist Pacific frontal system will combine with a stationary Arctic front to produce a swath of heavy snow across the Central B.C. interior and the Southern B.C. Peace. Further snowfall amounts of 10 to 20 cm are forecast by Friday morning with the highest snowfall accumulations expected in the higher elevations of the McGregor region and over the eastern slopes of the Rockies.



This frontal system is also bringing freezing rain along highway 97 south of Prince George to Quesnel. The freezing rain will end this morning.
