In the past, conditions for this winter series have ranged anywhere from plus ten with dry loose gravel, to snowy, icy trails with minus 25 weather.
Pat Ferris enters the race as the rider to beat, as he has won the event five times over his years of competition, and is looking for a three-peat, as he is the defending champion from 2012 and 2011.
This weekend’s race will feature two distances for riders to chose from: the longer, more challenging Roubaix Race, or an abbreviated Civilized Pavement Race.
The opening event of the three race series will begin at Baldonnel School at 2 p.m. this Sunday, March 10.
The expected forecast in Fort St. John for this Sunday’s race is sunny with a high of two and a low of minus eight.
