Recycle your bulbs in March

In the Peace Region, three locations accepting everything from flashlights to fixtures.

Fort St. John’s Eco-Depot is a full service recycling depot that accepts all lighting fixtures and bulbs. Dawson Creek’s DC Recycling is also accepting all lighting fixtures and bulbs, while R Home Supply Centre will strictly be accepting Light bulbs.

Chetwynd’s Chetwynd Lions Recycling will also be accepting light bulbs.

This recycling service is being funded by through the Stewardships of B.C., and as a result there is no cost to the consumer when recycling their items.

LightRecycle has recently expanded their program to include all bulbs and fixtures, residential and commercial, with the exception of ballasts containing polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs).

Because some ballasts contain PCBs, they do require special handling. While they cannot be dropped off at the depots, LightRecycle will provide a pick-up service to generators with PCB-containing lighting ballasts without charge, both at residential and commercial volumes.
