Players took home new computers, cash and even a trip to Las Vegas.
Not only was the price right last night, but the timing was also right for one lucky visitor. Cheryl McKenzie of Grande Prairie was the 300 thousandth visitor to the Events Centre, coming through the doors at 7 p.m. She was greeted at the door with balloons, tickets to a future event, an opportunity to attend a sound check party at an upcoming show with a possible meet and greet with the artist, Ovation bucks for food and beverage at the Centre, gift certificates for dinner at Boston Pizza and The Fixx and a framed copy of their photo to celebrate being the 300,000 customer at the Encana Events Centre.
2013 is the Centre's fifth anniversary year, and Dawson Creek Mayor Mike Bernier says this attests to the success of the facility.
"I would like to congratulate Cheryl McKenzie for being the 300,000 visitor to the Encana Events Centre here in Dawson Creek," says Bernier, "The Centre is having an amazing year with their fifth anniversary and celebrating a milestone like this just shows that the community and region love visiting the Centre for events."
