Police make arrests in recent Dawson Creek robberies

He is already in police custody on other charges. RCMP will be recommending a charge of armed robbery after he allegedly entered the store wearing a mask, brandishing what appeared to be a gun and forcing the cashier to hand over an undisclosed amount of cash.

We are awaiting confirmation as to whether the same person was arrested for both incidents.
Meanwhile, a 29 year old male has been arrested in connection with a robbery at Lothar Triebel Jewellers on February 20. The Dawson Creek resident is known to police, and is being held in custody pending his court hearing.
Neither of the arrested males can be named until they are formally charged.
