Greyhound bus rolls over east of Prince George

McBride RCMP says the bus was travelling eastbound when it lost control and skidded off the highway and rolled onto its side down an embankment.

The bus was carrying 18 passengers, and three passengers sustained minor injuries. Two of the injured were taken to McBride Hospital while the others were taken to the Slim Creek Highway Work Yard with the help of Yellowhead Road and Bridge. They were later picked up by a second Greyhound bus to continue their journey.

RCMP and the Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement Team continue to investigate the rollover. It was snowing heavily at the time, which may have played a factor in the incident. A mechanical inspection of the bus will also be conducted.
